The
Agriturismo Bramasole & Ginestra is an organic family farm
with "3 Spighe" (or Ears) quality farmhouse
recognition - the highest recognition of the Region Tuscany
for holiday farmhouses that offer accommodation facilities.
The farm is located on the hills of Montopoli Val d’Arno,
a medieval village in the province of Pisa. Equally distant
from the most famous cities of the coast and the inland of Tuscany.
The Agritourism offers wide 3 holiday apartments of 110sq.mt. each,
carefully furnished, with a large garden and in a friendly
family atmosphere. The farmhouse dates back to the eighteenth
century: the farm estate Podere La Ginestra dates back to 1760,
while the name Bramasole was only added in the late 1800, further
to the merge with another close farm and the consequent enlargement
of the house.
The farmhouse, with its agricultural out-buildings and
the ancient and still well kept and working wood-oven (late
‘700), is surrounded by olive trees, cypresses,
acacia trees and mulberry trees, which maintain a fresh and
aired environment even during the hot summer months.The farm
extends for about 10 hectares and consists of two organic olive-yards,
a wood and a plain down the valley. We have created signaled
naturalistic paths with information about the existing flora
- perfect for relaxing and interesting walks in the typical
nature of Tuscany.
A further witness of the ancient origin of the farm is given
by the Burraia, an Etruscan tomb (other tombs can be found there
around) completely excavated in a tufaceous soil, covered with
bricks in 1819 and presently still used as a natural refrigerator.
All around the farmhouse, the wide park
of about 6,000 sq.mt., is available to the guests and it also offers a
park with outdoor games for children. We have one little dog (Susy),
five cats (Gina, Gigi, Rossino, Furilli, Stellina), two donkeys
(Beppino and Camilla), two sheeps, two goats and some other poultry,
all of them definitively jolly, affectionate and friendly.
During the summer 2004 we' ve built a panoramic a swimming
pool (11 x 5,5 x max. 1.40 mt., depuration by salt-system,
no chlorine) which is now available in the park from aprox. May
to October. |
